I had this game as a kid and loved it!!! My daughter recently got this updated version as a birthday present and it is such a great toy to work on development of hand precision skills-these pegs promote using a tripod grasp which is the ideal grasp when holding a pencil/crayon and a pincer grasp which is the grasp needed when picking up smaller items. I like that it has reusable templates that can be used and your child can also create their own designs too! It has a carrying case that snaps into the board for ease in storing the small pieces (only some versions have this, see below pic.) The only one difference I noticed was that it doesn’t seem to light up as much as the original version(but is safer as it is now battery operated vs plugging in to wall.) My daughter loves the light up feature, and has really enjoyed playing with this toy! This toy has small pieces so it is not recommended for small children as it is a choking hazard.
